Eyesight is designed to help organizations with an Aveva (OSI) PI Data Historian System view their data through an easy-to-use web interface. Connect data servers and asset servers, get immediate access to PI information, and break down the traditional barriers to accessing plant data via the PIWebAPI.
PI Audit Log Review and Approval
One of the main features of Eyesight allows users to configure PI Data servers for regularly scheduled pushes of audit records into the system. Eyesight supports both time series and configuration audit log changes, plus comments, user-configurable reason codes, review, and approval workflows to support regulatory audit requirements.
Users can select View, Review, or Print, giving operations and compliance teams a practical way to manage records with confidence.

The Eyesight datasource builder lets users point to a PIWebAPI, or a series of PIWebAPIs, allowing the system to act as a PI enterprise aggregator. DSI supports Aveva PI today, and the architecture can also be configured to work with other web-based APIs to bring data and audit records into one place.
View Event Frame Data and Trends
Need quick access to your event frames? Eyesight makes it easy to search different databases exposed by your PIWebAPI and display event frame attribute data without requiring PI System Explorer on every workstation.
Need a quick trend of a field data point? It is available directly in the web interface so your teams can make decisions faster.
Reason Codes and Compliance
Eyesight allows the creation of reason codes that can be assigned to different audit record types. Each submission to the digital ledger can be tied to a specific reason code, making it easier for IT, quality, and compliance teams to analyze activity and support regulated processes.
The system also integrates into your existing Active Directory, allowing you to use your existing OU groups to manage access across different areas of the platform.
Audit Log Configuration
Eyesight records all activity on the system, including logins, configuration additions, and modifications. Not only are your data changes captured, but your configuration changes are as well, providing stronger traceability across the application.
